Privacy Policy

How Wildeye collects, uses and protects personal information.

Last updated: 4 August 2026 (outline only; binding policy in preparation)

Two kinds of data pass through Wildeye: the readings your loggers send from the field, and the account details of the people who log in to see them. They are treated differently, and this policy covers both.

The binding Privacy Policy is being finalised alongside our ISO 27001 and GDPR programme. Rather than publish nothing, the outline below sets out exactly what each section will govern. For the current draft, or for any question about how your data is handled today, email privacy@mywildeye.com. We reply within two business days.

Information we collect

Covers the two categories separately: device telemetry (sensor readings, timestamps, device identifiers, signal and battery diagnostics) and account data (name, work email, organisation, role and access permissions). It will also state what we do not collect. Wildeye loggers measure infrastructure, not people.

How we use it

Covers the purposes each category is used for: delivering readings to your dashboard and alerts, operating and supporting the platform, and diagnosing device faults in the field. It will set out the lawful basis for each purpose.

Data storage & residency

Covers where your data physically lives and how it gets there. Today: telemetry leaves the device encrypted, travels over carrier-grade cellular, is protected with TLS 1.2+ end to end, is stored on region-pinned hosting for Australian, New Zealand and United States customers, and is segregated per tenant. The final section will name the specific regions and the sub-processors behind them.

Sharing & processors

Covers who else touches the data (infrastructure, alerting and support providers) and on what terms. It will confirm the position we hold today: Wildeye does not sell customer data and does not share telemetry between customers.

Retention

Covers how long each category is kept and what happens at the end. It will state the retention period for telemetry, the shorter period for account and diagnostic data, and the documented deletion path that account closure triggers on request.

Your rights

Covers access, correction, export, deletion and objection: how to make each request, what proof we need, and how long we take. Export is already available in standard formats at any time from the platform.

Cookies

Covers what this website and the Wildeye platform store in your browser. The marketing site you are reading sets no advertising or cross-site tracking cookies; the section will list the functional cookies the logged-in platform requires.
